You’ll still see desis in the smaller towns, “country” areas of Texas…mainly because of gas station/motel owners (stereotypical, i know!). You’ll probably be mistaken for mexican/latino in those areas anyway. Be careful in rural parts of Arizona, that state has some stupid maslay going with their new law about police being able to probe/check immigration status
