South African Precidency

The ANC axed Thabo Mbeki over the weekend as President of South Africa.

Seems that Motlanthe will be caretaker till the elections in 2009, when “Showerhead” Jacob Zuma will take over (depending on his corruption charges).

Motlanthe is one of the older ANC top leaders and widely respected by both the Zuma and Mbeki camps.

What worries me is the type of people Zuma has around him as advisors and buddies - communists, extremists, etc. What worries me even more is the fact that Zuma appears tentative to take the leadership role as President. Maybe he will be a figurehead being led by all his “bad” advisors/buddies instead of being the leader South Africa needs right now.

Will he lead or will he be led - that is the question…

Re: South African Precidency

Seems to me some party running / controlling the political shows from a distance (of bringing governments into power / throwing them off) of different countries around the world. Including those in the African continent. Zimbabwe, etc. You name it.
