No...India does not have to win if Pak loses.. They just need to make sure they do not lose with worst margin than Pakistan. :)

South Africans can still mathematically make it, provided Australia demolish Pakistan and they pull a number on India. :hypo: And as for India they are still a few smidgens behind Pakistan in the run-rate department, so it’s not just about losing with a worst margin than Pakistan, they have to lose by a lower margin to qualify.

Say both India and Pakistan lose by 20 runs (or its over equivalent) than Pakistan will go through.

Guys....

Stop making big deal out of run rate. Pakistan, India, SA are pretty close on run-rate.A different of 0.03 or 0.15 is nothing if you you take it over 60 overs. For example: If Pakistan loses , all south Africa need to do is win by 4 Run. **Yes 4 run. **Basically this means that they just need to win. Similarly If Pakistan wins, All India needs to do is win by couple of runs more than Pakistan's win.
