Philander and Steyn should have gone for it in the penultimate over and if one of them had got out, SA could have always played for the draw. They gave up too early! After Faf’s runout, SA decided to play for the draw

But do remember that Morne Morkel and esp. Imran Tahir are mugs with the bat plus Dhoni had stationed everyone near the boundary (You can do that in tests only), so Philander and Steyn had to clear the boundary each time, not easy under pressure!
