South Africa joins teams for Sharjah Tournament in April

World Cup host South Africa will play in the Sharjah cricket tournament in April with Pakistan and Sri Lanka, organisers said.
The Cricketers Benefit Fund Series organizes one-day international events in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, and the Moroccan city of Tangiers to raise money for former players. It has three-year contracts with the three countries, which are committed to at least one CBFS tournament a year.
“Sharjah tournaments are always exciting but this one promises to be even better if one of the teams playing in April happens to win the World Cup,” said CBFS Chief Executive Zahid Noorani. The World Cup finishes the week before.
Shaun Pollock and his South Africa team last played at the desert venue in March 2000, a month before then captain Hansie Cronje was banned for life for match-fixing.
The tournament runs from April 1-10 and the teams will face one another twice before the two best play a one-off final. Sharjah has hosted a record 191 one-day internationals.

Doesn't it sounds like too early as the World Cup finishes?
Anyway, I've also heard of England Tour of Pakistan in June 2003.
Yeah, and did I tell you how jealous I was for that 17% win record that you have abroad (15+ years winless ;)), when your own umpires arent raising the fingers when your weak bowlers yell.
