I am posting this thread with a view to clear out a very serious imisconception most people are having regarding Islamic issues ( specially halal and haraam)

When, we have to dissect any issue pertaining to religion…the criteria to make decision is

Quran and Sunnah

Youtube videos of Sheikh XYZ , Professor ABD…are not authentic sources.
Islam is a religion based on divinity not a cult based on videos of controversial personalities.

I am hoping that in future , people will practice more care in debating islam.

bro, be ready to expect statements like that; Jazak Allah khayr for bringing up this important issue. It is important that we remember our Islaamic sources.

The way to deal with people is to present arguments in a nice manner if you feel that so and so is not authentic then please provide what is authentic to counter it. I am in agreement with you, but I will not rubbish a person because his background is not legitimate, rather I will see what is being said and compare it with the source I know to be legitimate and then reply accordingly.

The danger in rubbishing peoples sources is that when you brand others they will brand you and no one is any the wiser and the cists between the parties remains.

I am not rubbishing anybody...what do you find offensive in my post? Can you please pinpoint...Infact the other guy has been insolent and over reacting....

The Souce of Islamic Sharia is Quran and Sunnah and I stand with Quran and Sunnah....!

Whats so controversial about it?

Youtube videos of people like Salman Rashdie, Tasleema , Ghamdi and other professors are not valid sources of Islam shariah....its like....

For the treatment of Cancer or any other disease............Instead of taking a patien to a hospital you take him to a Butchery....where meat cutters start deciding the fate of the guy.......The point to ponder upon is......where to refer to when one has to decide on an issue relating to Islam?

Choice is yours!

I would definately opt for Option one and will go for Quran and Sunnah...A Patient goes to doctors...not to a butcher...

^ In the hope of getting Qur'an and Sunnah one needs to go to scholars or books compiled by scholars it is better to do both, but this is a discussion forum and people are here presenting arguments and the way to refute them is by showing where those arguments are deficient ... for me and you it is enough to say those people are not qualified, but for those people who hear them and are convinced by their words you need to deal with the topics as they come.

I don't like it any more than you do.

I do believe in seeking advice from Imaams of Fiqh. There is nothing wrong with it....but when some pseudo scholar of today says " You can now start eating pigs...caz pigs are raised more hygienically"....... then I wont listen to him and this ghamdi etc etc....are not scholars of Islam but they are fitnas of today !

Yes bro, we both understand that it's a fitna but now that it is there, we should try to set an example (as psyah stated) by presenting authentic sources.

Kindly show me a single ayat of Quran or single Hadees of Prophet(pbuh) where there is written or said that ther are 80 lashes for sin of drinking ?

If pictures are haram why the heck all academic books are filled with pictures ,just throw them out ,give me what Quran or Ahadess say about it ?

Quran says poets wander in differnet valleys but our books are filled with Ghalib,Taqi Mir ,Gulistaan ,Bostaan,Masnawi Rumi and everyone loves thier romantic and thoughtful poetry even religious people are so fond of it.What Quran or Sunnah say about it ?

May be you have forgotten the famous hadees of Prophet(pbuh) while sending Muaz bin Jabl(ra) to to San'a in Yemen asking if you would not find any religious matter in Quran and Sunnah what will you do.He replied I would use my Qiyaas and Deduction from Quran and Sunnah and Prophet(pbuh) appreciated it.Qiyaas and Ijmmah are also pillars of Islamic Shariah alongwith Quran and Sunnah.Islamic is Dynamic Religion not confined to past,it speaks us in present and 1000's of matters and difficulties evolve not in Quran/Sunnah.Fiqah Science was developed for sae purpose.Even Fiqah Hanafi is about 1200 years old and not speak about present day problems.Means that we should remain blind in all these matters. Then why Religion give us Tool of Ijtehaad but certainly it is done by a scholar of great repute and knowledge.There was also differnce of opinion on infinite matters b/w classical scholars on Fiqah Issues and same is the case is today.You can disagree with one's ruling dosent mean that YouTube or Professor ABCD are irrelevant.Classical Scholars are very respectful but modern day problems need new rulings which are not defined by them

People rely on Sheikh's, Doctors and Peer-Faqeers instead of Allaah Ta'aala and His Prophet (S).

Their leaders will not be able to save them on the Day of Judgment for rejecting the Qur'aan and Sunnah in preference of what some Sheikh said.

Just one word of caution, these days some Mullahs who claim to be puritan orthodox followers of the Qur'aan and Sunnah and our Salaaf are also issuing some dodgy Fatwas, I'm very skeptical of a few Internet Fatwa sites, I get the feeling they are created by Kaafir agents who want to present a very distorted/evil/cruel/mean image of Islam to drive people away from Islam, these people very cleverly misintrepret Qur'aan and Ahadith.

Your argument is all false logics . Your said someting like our books are full of pictures, our cd players are full of songs, the streets are full of half nude people, we have red light areas, we have criminals roaming in the city..........show me where in the quran it says we can have crimes and nude people in the street?.... dude what has lashes or drinking to do with my post? whatever goes around us does't mean that its islamic.

Next time please come up with a valid argument!

Salaf Salaf Salaf , what else Salaf they have instead of Ibne Tamiyyah or **Ibne Baaz **or **Al-Bani **who is final authority on every hadees.

Prophet(pbuh) in 23 years spoke on millions of times and million of ahadees , but these so called sholars say, Al-Bani is** Hadees-o-Meter **,if he says any hadees Shaheeh it is otherwise not. Ridiculous. All classical Muhadiseen were mad who wasted thier time in compiling Ahadees books.

Since Abu Hanifa is Persian Origin so hatred shown is that according to them ,Faqeeha-i-Azam like Abu Haneefah knew only 30 or 40 ahadees etc.They even not called him as Imam-e-Azam as he not consider him as Faqeeh.

Bukhari is second Quran **.All other ahadees books are just written for wasting time or have some fun.Brelvis are biddati, **Sufias are deviants, Deobandi **are deviant in thier beliefs, **Tableegi are deviant .Everyone is deviant except these **'god chosen' petro dollars jockers **who consider all great schoalrs and faqeeh of 1400 years of no worth.Merely follow quran and hadees words without going into depth or knowledge about background of why it is said or revealed.

Differnce of Opinion is haram and kufr .Shias are kafirs so kill them whether in Pakistan yesterday at Dera Ghazi Khan or in NWFP or Parachinar or in Iraq as** Zarqawi was doing. Hate infidels in every matter ,kill them no matter they are innocents(9/11 incident ,out of 19 ,14 were Saudis). Destroy them , kill innocvents in Mumbai Attacks which by no mean attach to Kashmir problem.Lashkra-i-Tayyaba **another Wahabi organization is involved in this massive innocent killings.

Islam in Indo-Pak region was due to graet Sufia May Allah Bless Them.Mughals,Lodhis,Ghulama,Turks even religious Aurang Zeb Alamgir who issued Fatawa Aamgiria and used to write Quran with his hands detained his father and killed his brothers for throne.All these Sharabi like Akbar or Jahangir not spread islam.It were Sufia who burnt this candle and we all are muslims because of them.

No , its eaxctly related to thread topic.Those who blindly follow Quran or Sunnah while Quran itself says that read me thinking on ever ayah.Quran establish the basic principles .This book dont deal with all the matters, it sets the pillar and fiqah building is constructed over it following these rules and pillars according to time and age requirements.Classical example of it is Khilafah whole Quran and Hadees is silent about Ummah Political system,its shape and constituents but Quran and Sunnah laid the basic principles of ruler and ruling its now upon muslims to establsih it.Quran and Sunnah dont give you spoon-feeding , Who blindly follow quran and hadees can give fatwas what we hear from Saudi Scholars which are infact ridiculous.

respected brother, I don't want to hijack this brother's thread and mash'Allah he has good intentions but your adab is lacking. If you want a response to your posts, we can two discuss it through pm or in another thread. This is not the way to discuss sensitive or controversial (for lack of better word) issues. Also, let's refrain from speaking without knowledge (not implying i'm more knowledgable than you, may Allah forbid), specially if your education is only from Internet and you know nothing about what other people actually say or believe in. Throwing random accusations without actually know the whole story wouldn't help anyone.

Muslims suppose to blidnly follow the Qur'aan and Saheeh Sunnah, it doesn't mean we don't ponder upon its meanings/rulings or not think about them etc. We understand the Qur'aan and Saheeh Sunnah how the Salaf understood them and those who followed their footsteps. The crux of the matter is that stick to the Islamic sources and understand them how the early scholars understood them.

I don't need to read and see these scholars! 72 Opinions? No way, I go my way. Allah has given me the ability to understand the Qur'an and the Sunnah by myself. See, Muhamamd Mustafa (saw) followed the Qur'an. That is why he is the Master, the King and the Seal Of the Prophets. A illeterate man followed the Holy Qur'an perfectly and what to a status he raised!

What is the Sunnah? The Holy Qur'an. Guidance for Mankind!
