I’m kind of over the material happiness, been there done that. Now, the things that bring me joy are:

• Spending time with my wife and daughter
• Going out into the natural world with my daughter, seeing everything through her eyes filled with wonder is just the BEST
• Sitting on my boat in the middle of the lake, away from everyone and hearing just the waves lapping up against the hull
• The smell of a brisk fall day
• Driving up to the middle of nowhere, typically some farms in the area, and looking up at the stars without any light pollution and being able to see the great rift in the milky way

Sigh, I’m so gay.

Like someone said, you are old school in the most awesomest way. THAT IS AWESOME! I want that when I’m married too.

I on the other hand feel the happiest when I’m talking to my fiance. It’s not dependence, we just enjoy each other’s company and nothing makes me feel better after we’ve talked for hours and hours. Makes me so giddy and jumpy and happy. I turn into one of those girls that smiles to herself when she’s alone.

Then there’s listening to classical Pakistani music, raags or sitars. Of course, planning my wedding and putting together my dream outfit together, spending time with my brothers, rain and thunder + lightening, buying makeup and heels, elephants, anything old/regal/Mughal era/Lahore/Vintage makes me swoon.
