After five years of searching for a drama serial by the name of Parosi, I finally got my hands on it this weeked. Unfortunately, due to the imcompetence of the shopkeeper I am missing the last volume.
So, my question is has anyone has seen this drama? If yes, which store is it available at? The drama’s cast includes the immortal Khalida Riyasat, the peerless Ali Ijaz, Mareena Khan, a surprisingly bearable Saleem Sheikh and the beautiful Shameem Hilali. It was played on NTM.
I would also appreciate the names of some good video stores that have somewhat credible collections of classic Pak dramas.
o boy i still remember that drama, it was really good....probably the only military drama i ever liked. Sorry i don't know any particular store which has it...but you can check out at Karachi bazaar in scarbrough....though i never rented anything from there but i know they usually have huge collection of urdu dramas.
JP, I think you got this drama confused with either Alpha Bravo Charlie or Sunehray Din. Parosi has no military related themes. It is directed by Raana Sheikh and written by Haseena Moin. So its main theme is women and their place in Pak society. It is a fantastic drama. For me it is in the same league as Tanhaayian, Ankahi, ABC, Aangan Terha as in the highest bracket. I'll post more once I'm finished with it.
I've been to Karachi Bazaar - they don't have it. Any other recommendations? thanks ppl.
