Sorry Pakistan!

Re: Sorry Pakistan!

kakaballi, thats exactly what our kids will one day tell us ... we are no better .. we have made no difference what so ever ... we are mere spectators ... hai kisi ma dum to bring a revolution?

Re: Sorry Pakistan!

For a nation with such diversity, a dream of a revolution might not be realistic. It has to be a slow painful process of integration. We have to pay for our misdeeds and our parent's misdeeds.

I agree, saying 'sorry' is not enough. We have to do our part. Whatever we can do.

Re: Sorry Pakistan!

I agree with you to an extent. I am of that generation. however, I see a big difference between the 60's and 70's and now and most of it is negative.

In the 60's we were all Pakistanis and Muslims, now we are Punjbais, Pakhtoons, Sindhis, baluchis and Mohajirs and we are Sunnis, Shias, Wahabis etc. What we are not today are Pakistanis and Muslims. That is what this generation has got to get right first.

From the 70's to now the country has slided, with extremism taking over be it religous, daily dealings, provincialism, corruption etc.

yes we are sorry for what happened, but I am mroe disappointed with our current generation than the 60's, instead of being progressive this generation has gone beackward with intolerance being the hallmark.

Sorry if this hurts, but this is how I see what has happened in Pakistan over the last 40 years.

Re: Sorry Pakistan!

I use to think of revolution in 2007. That it is the only solution available for Pakistan.

The revolution can be brought in Pakistan ONLY by student. Not even any Islamic or any other thing can bring in the revolution.

Now I know many will say that students were given power in Zia time but I am talking about revolution in current time by those who really have feelings for Pakistan, and not those who just like to bash about Pakistani while using a costly laptop and a speedy line sitting on their chair and dreaming of better Pakistan.

Re: Sorry Pakistan!

pakistan is the poor mother of some very very bad children. bechari ne bohat mehnat se pala posa bara kara... and they have given her nothing but tears and blood. she only needs ONE good son to get up and become the much needed leader and behind that son, should follow the remaining siblings, quietly, trusting with full faith that their older brother will lead them to prosperity and out of this anguish their mother is in right now.

sounds filmi to me... very filmi.

good thread by the op
