You have met some 3rd gen people and that informs your opinion. The overall stats, studies and linguistic research informs mine. :slight_smile: as I said, how many of us speak Persian, Arabic or Turkish etc. Isn’t that part of the heritage? Somewhere along the way, the language of the land took over and that of ancestors disappeared slowly. A few generations back, educated people still learnt Farsi /Persian and then it just went away.

The canada stats really don’t go into how much of that is gen 3 and beyond.
