adriana gets wacked! and then Tony B gets wacked by anthony soprano!
Soprano just keeps getting better and better ![]()
Good episode - and a decent follow up to long term parking - which was the true star of season 5.
i didn't see Tony S. being the one to Shoot Tony B - but it was appropriate. It was more of a mercy killing because if Phil had got to him it would have been worse than the "eye popping" torture in Casino.
Overall - i like the ending of Tony running from the feds at Johnny Sacks. When all we saw was Tony's eyes open wide - i thought for second that Sacks had set him up - two guys with shotguns running at him. But it was a fitting ending having JS fall into the snow and come up looking not very "dignified."
Now what happens next season?
Does AJ's "party planning" get noticed by Tony who then uses his son in some family businesses?
Is Carmela's spec house really a new abode for the Soprano clan? There was something about that blueprint with the his/hers closet.
Re: sopranos
FINALLY TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT!
Whos going out for the sopranos party?
9pm sharp on HBO & TMN!
*Where we left off... *
Tony and his wife Carmela are separated, and she has every intention of going through with a divorce. The disharmony adversely affects the couple’s son, A.J., who blames his mother for the separation.
Things also get a lot more complicated with Tony’s business “family.” New York capo di tutti capi — boss of all bosses — Carmine Lupertazzi dies of a massive stroke. He didn’t name a successor, so his top associate, Johnny “Sack” Sacramoni, and his son, Little Carmine, begin a bloody struggle for the top spot.
Tony would love to just sit back and be neutral during the war. But he’s suddenly drawn into it when his cousin, Tony Blundetto, sides with Little Carmine and kills a soldier loyal to Johnny Sack.
The murder endangers Tony’s lucrative business dealings with Johnny Sack, a longtime friend who eventually wins the power struggle with Little Carmine. Sack wants to kill Tony Blundetto, who has gone into hiding.
After wrestling with the decision to hand his cousin over to Sack, Tony Soprano finally figures out a solution: He kills his cousin himself.
Meanwhile, the FBI is trying to figure out a way to make a case against Tony Soprano. It targets Adriana La Cerva, the fiancee of Tony’s nephew and confidante Christopher Moltisanti.
Pressuring her with threats of going to jail for trying to destroy evidence of a murder, the FBI gets Adriana to be an informant. She doesn’t know much about Tony’s business, but the FBI hopes she can convince Christopher to flip on his uncle.
No dice. When Adriana finally tells Christopher that she’s an informer, he beats her severely and alerts Tony. She is killed.
Though still dissatisfied that he couldn’t kill Tony Blundetto himself, Johnny Sack makes peace with Tony Soprano realizing they have a profitable business relationship.
Of course, that relationship is on hold for now. Just as Tony and John Sack shake on their arrangement, federal agents raid Johnny Sack’s home. Tony flees the scene and makes it home safely to Carmela, who recently agreed to let him move back in.

Re: sopranos
Eugene was a gonner the moment he got the idea to ask out. You just don't do that. You stay in, try to disappear, get whacked or off yourself. Those are your four options, and really none of them end well. Some just prolong it more than others.
The blood on Eugene's face that he wiped on the map will come back. Count on that.
Tony obviously isn't going to die, but Mike has a good point that the intent is that Tony thinks he's going to die. Someone will find him, probably Jun, and he'll recover. But Tony has to really consider how he lets this information get out. If he tells everyone the truth, how does that look about his family in regards to Jun falling apart and Tony not being able to handle him? If he makes up some story with no real proff, then it looks really bad because it appears that Tony doesn't have control of his family or that someone with NY tried to off him. That direction is about perception, which could make for some great story lines and cause a LOT of problems considering the current situation with NY.
The Feds are currently at a loss. Everyone around them is dying. They'll find a new guy soon because that story line can't die.
Gotta love Anthony, Jr.'s hair. There are some stories coming there with his college rebellion.
What is the over under on Tony cheating again? My bet is mid episode 3.
Re: sopranos
I missed these foul mouthed ba$tards. "every time I try to get out, they pull me back in!!" Gotta love sylvio.
I loved the first episode this season, second one, kinda boring. Meadow's looking hot though.
Re: sopranos
Great, great episode. The only disappointing thing is next week's teaser, where you see Tony regaining his faculties. They could've left it out there for at least a week with people wondering if he'd ever recover.
I love the idea of the Soprano women taking the family over. Carmela's seeing a depressed face on Paulie as he got on the elevator was massive; it's like she instantly realized that the power that her husband commanded could be transferred, but it also has to be managed. If Tony has seen that look on Paulie's face, Paulie would be out of favor instantly. Carmela's smart enough to know what that look meant -- does she now use that information and manage it accordingly? She has 100% exclusive and total access to Tony in the hospital (one visitor at a time, remember) and somebody has to make family decisions in Tony's and Silvio's absence. Why not her?
Carmela can trust Sil and Chris, and she can use Janice to manage Bobby. She knows she can't trust Paulie and Vito. She can bridge the gap with Johnny through Ginny, better than Tony himself could. Maybe I'm just convincing myself about this, but if she wants it she could make this work.
Re: sopranos
Hey Talha, that's quite an interesting thought you have... I wouldn't mind if that actually happened. You sound like a true fan.
PS. I effing hate Paulie.
Re: sopranos
Janice in the Sacramoni house, plus her ragging on Tony about helping Bobby brings back the woman heading the Family idea, but with a new twist. How likely is it that Janice will try to finish what her mom started: killing Tony and supplanting him with her puppet Bobby? She toyed with that before, when she was Richie Aprile.
Re: sopranos
soo is it really done? khallas???
Re: sopranos
^ No.
In 2007, it will return for the second part of its 6th season with eight episodes. Sometime around January or March I suppose.

Actually the Sopranos is finished
Tony after being shot comes back to lead his crew and makes peace with the New York Crew and avoid a potential war with New Jersey and New York Mob families
Carmela is satisfed with where she is life after her coming back from her trip to Paris and she puts the ghosts of Adrianna behind her and starts developing her house
Meadow moves to California and gets serious with her boyfriend
And AJ finally shows responsibility by getting a job, a girl friend with a kid and rejecting his dad to help him out with a ring for his girlfriend
The remaining 8 episodes are bonus episodes
They basically wrap up stories of Tony Soprano's Crew but won't involve much of Tony or his family.....
So the series finale is already done, but David Chase wanted to give the Tony's crew a proper ending as well
