Soooooo annoying... log on problem

:mad2:

Why do I have to log on everytime that I visit the Gupshup forums. Each time I try to do a reply or post a new thread, It asks me to log on… This only happens if I have closed all browser windows or have restarted the PC. I have not changed anything in my profile. It was working fine, until I reinstalled Windows and ever since, I am having this trouble…

Anyone..?

Ohhh well, I figured it out myself.. MS IE was blocking the cookies from gupistan.org  I specified in the privacy settings to always allow the cookies from www.gupistan.org

If someone else also having the similar trouble.. I think Madcon also had this problem.. So the solution is as above…

:rotfl:

Thank you, Gizzy, that’s actually a very useful solution to share. :k: i know a few Guppies who were experiencing problems with this, i was too until someone helped me fix it. It can get quite annoying.

ahem :o for technically-challenged ppl like me who are lost without step-by-step instructions: for IE, i think it’s Tools → Internet Options → Security tab ----> at this point specify the particular site for which you want to allow cookies. (errm i am not certain what the process is for Netscape Navigator although i imagine it wouldn’t be TOO different than the above hopefully).

Nadia_H :k: The solution you gave might also work, I am not sure though. Haven’t tested that yet. But what I did was to add gupistan.org in the privacy settings.. Mind you it most probably only happens in MS IE 6.0. As I had just reinstalled Windows 2000 aswell, and there I was still using MS IE 5.0, so it didnt give any such problem.

Tools → Internet Options → Privacy TAB → (in the section “web sites”) CLICK “EDIT” button

i face the same problem sometimes jab ghar wala pc use kar raha hota hoom but right now i'm at home n its working bilkul theek, office walay pc main kabhee problem naheen hoi, bye the way this problem can also be fixed from the server side, why dont they (the developers) just change the locations of their php scripts to work on the same domain so that nobody has to change their privacy settings or something
bohot saroon ko naheen samajh aatee problem kee lekin this problem is exactly what Gizzy explained, thnx for the solution buddy it was annoying
