Sony Xperia Z for AT&T garners FCC approval

http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2013/03/xperia-z-fcc.jpg Hirai and Co.'s Xperia Z may seemingly be available everywhere except the US, but a surprise FCC visit by the handset means that could change very soon. Uncle Sam got its mitts on hardware that supports LTE bands 2, 4, 5 and 17, along with HSPA over 1900, 1700 and 850MHz frequencies – a perfect match for AT&T’s network. There’s still no word from Big Blue or Sony regarding when the phone might arrive stateside, but there’s little holding it back thanks to government approval.
