IF you want to show off, get sony. If you want a good product in all aspect, get Dell.

It doesn't last longer, its just a little better priced. I've been a loyal sony user and I'm about to replace my current Dell D610 with a Sony SZ series.

I have a sony notebook, the quality/performance well exceeds that of a dell.

i think the IBM ThinkPad Machines r the best for both showing off & for Powerfull performance.

IBMs are best but after that I will prefer Dell.

I have used IBM Thinkpad, Sony Avio, Dell Inspiron, Toshiba too but second option I will put Dell.
