I got a laptop bag by TARGUS which was 50 bucks and then I went to the store later and saw a Sony Vaio bag, the EXACT same thing. EXACT same. like EXACT!!! the only difference was that this one had VAIO written on it instead of TARGUS…and it was for 70 bucks!!!

20 bucks extra just for the VAIO name :hoonh: And were they copying TARGUS or was TARGUS copying SONY? I dont know.

Why would anyone be foolish enough to spend 20 bucks just for the name? :hoonh:

Why was I foolish enough to do that? I don’t know lol. but I ended up returning my TARGUS one and getting the SONY one :hoonh:

But seriously, this is the height of lootbaazi!!! And that too by a big company like Sony!!!

That $20 extra is Sony’s branding premium mate. Who knows Targus anyways? :halo:

I suggest you dont ever read anything about contract manufacturing and labelling by various manufacturers, especially in the are of electronics, and clothing :slight_smile: u will be go ballistic (not ballistic like the ballistic nylon bag from Targus though)

Just be glad it wasn’t $20 CHEAPER for Sony. BTW do you know why a box of cereal that costs 20 cents to make costs $2.99 to buy?

Thanks for your replies and the useful info :-) I went to that store today and saw yet another bag which was much nicer than the one I got last time and olny 10 bucks more, it was also a Vaio lol so I returned the older one and got this one :D
