I’ve had no problems with the joystick. That phone has been getting used for almost 8 months now.
You need to change the region to UK. Here’s the URL for ur beloved k800i:

PS: I just noticed that its the same software. i.e. Sony Ericsson PC Suite 2.10.38 (for Windows Vista/XP), for all the phones
