Even when he was a novice in the industry i always thought there was something special about him. Wish they’d taken bets on him being a star i would’ve been a millionaire today. He has the most amazing voice..jitni bhi tareef ki jaiy kam hea. I was getting sick of the Sanu and subsequently Narayan dominance.
And right now i am in love with his latest Mea hoo Na track. Sang so beautifully. His hum Tumhare Hea Sanam numbers were brill too.

I think he should remain a respected singer rather than a flop actor. He's ruining his own image, no?
Sonu has a god gifted voice. He sings high pitch songs as easily as the romantic ones with much deeper notes.
Sandese aate hain, was his first track, as far as I remember. It was a classic piece. He did the right thing to develop his own style of singing rather than copying Great Mohammed Rafi. A clone cannot survive for long, example is Sanu, since he didn't have his own style, he was successfull till he copied Kishore, but after he went his own way, he was plain nassal, therefore is a flop nowadays.
DD, ur right about Sanu and Narayan dominance, I think Sonu was first to break it and now Babul and Shaan has continued like a fresh air.
I also like his 'pehli pehli baar baliye' and ofcourse 'kal ho na ho' :)
