did anyone notice that alot of indian songs have Allah in them. some old ones but mostly new ones comming out.
Allah Kare
**Chaand Sifarish ** (subuhan Allah)
**Yeh Ladka Hai Allah **
**Allah Kare Dil Na **Lage Kisise (Andaaz) Allah Hoo Allah Hoo Allah ke Bandhe (waisa bhi hota hai Prt II)
**Allah allah, Taarif teri allah allah (**YEH DIL AASHIQANA)
these r just sme song title but there are alot of songs that have ALLAH in their lyrics…what do u guys think?
i dont listen to 2 many indian songs but i think i saw one on TV (my mom was watching sum indian pop music stuff) which went sumthing like "allah bachaye".. n this girl dressed up like a skank was singing it.. i dint get the rest of the lyrics so i duno if it was offensive or not
i think it's poetic licence using a very common historical literary/artistic custom both from the middle east and south asia... sufi poems were all love poems to god but seemed to be more a man and woman
yea it was mentioned there too...i dunno bout haraam but i was just wondering if the people composing the song know Who allah is nd if they're using it right.......
^ ^ If you pay attention then you will find that they use the word "God" a lot too. so as rab, khuda, ooperwale etc etc....
in india they all are synonym of one single god... anyone can relate his/her god with any kind of word they use in songs.
The word allah is not off limits from people from other faiths...
this is what happens when you live in multicultural society and i think it is good.
And like umer talib said... word allah is used by christians etc too since forever..
And plus a lot of lyricist are muslims so ...
Ya Ali
Allah bachaye(Vedic_intellect this is the song you were talking about and the girl in those rags drees was Sophie ,a MTV VJ , and a muslim heself)
subhan Allah
etc etc
plus there are the words "Allah,Kudha,Ali" in between lyrics of many songs.
