**I was thinking of telling my dj to play instrumentals of bollywood songs instead of the actual songs.
Not sure if its a good idea.
What do you guys think? is it better to play the actual songs or just the instrumentals? I absolutely hate when the Dj play the music so loud. You can hardly talk. I thought maybe slow instrumentals in background would be nice.
is it a good idea or too boring?**
Re: Songs on wedding day
Thats kinda boring.. No?... After my uncle had his nikkah, The DJ did play a nice instrumental song i cant remember what it was but it was reallyyy good it had a really good beat to it. Like a celebration song that he jus got hitched! If you get what i mean!
You can do instrumentals now n again but not all the way thru. Maybe when your eating or something? Or jus tell the DJ not to have it SOOO loud. At my uncles he had it low when we was eating because its common sense really that your gonna talk. After the meal was over it was back on loud again!
Re: Songs on wedding day
Congratz on ur forthcoming wedding!!
I agree, have the instrumental music now and again like when u walk in and when ur
eating and the rukhsati and defo see if the DJ can lower the volume
Re: Songs on wedding day
How abt the actual songs instead of instrumental...
I was thinking, i'll ask them for the songs but very low volume so that it's not disturbing... Just something for the background.

I was just about to ask the same question! Great minds eh?
I don't like the idea of people dancing on wedding day! I'm having a (fablous) mix mendhi so everyone can get it out of their system on that day! And I'm planing to have a more relaxed glamours wedding day.
I was thinking maybe an actual song while I walk in but instrumental otherwise and I don'y know what to do during ruksati... my dad (unhelpfully) suggested a shanhai instrumental; oh my dear god!!! it is so depressing and sad no one will even have energy to cut their wrists!
I'm thing of some thing emotional and meaningful ...there is always the option of nazam/naat/gazal (something religious any ways) I am having a quranic reading just before ruksiti so that might tie in well!
What do you guys think?
