I am looking for a song to be used as a background in a video clip. This is a pretty known song sung by either Lata or Asha. The words of the song are something like “meray ghar ayee aik nanhi pari”.
Can someone tell me where to download the song in MP3 format? Or upload it here so I can use it.
Nice song Faisal. I like it. Lata has beautifully sung it. She is at her best in this song. You can find it in "Kabhi Kabhi" movie album. If I had it, I would have definitely uploaded for you.
Femme, this is for a li'l girl's Ameen ceremony, for which I am mixing and preparing a DVD.
Capricorn, thanks for reminding me of the movie. It had completely slipped my mind. Now I think I should be able to find it, hopefully (fingers crossed!)
If you guys think of some other song that will be appropriate as background music for the opening parts of the movie video (for an Ameen ceremony with a couple of birthday cakes as well) of a little girl (9 years old), do suggest here.
Well, obviously actual ameen ceremony has the actual sound (qiraat and dua). The song I need is only for the first part of the ceremony - meet & greet part of the movie. The part where guests are arriving and getting seated, plus family group pics etc.
how about a beautiful Nasheed Faisal bhai? It would just seem more appropriate. I remember watching an Ameen/Bismillah video with songs in the beginning and it just didn't gel well with the ceremony. for lack of a better word it seemed "tacky".
I wonder if you can download some Yusuf Islam nasheeds off of Limewire or cooltoad.com.
even a beautiful instrumental of some sort would be better than a song.
I had a CD from Sami Yusuf. I did try out the video footage with some religious nasheeds etc, but it just didn't work out well. The audio did not go at all with the picture on the screen, as the footage was for people coming in, meeting, greeting, laughing and talking. Putting in hamd/naats as background seemed way over the top there. So, for now, I am going with something light for the beginning part of the video. Will keep looking for something more appropriate for the part where dinner is served.
^ Thanks for the update
I wonder if you can get a hold of an instrumental in mp3 format. Wonder if a symphony by one of the classical composers would work - something light hearted to go w/ the meet/greet/dinner.
I am sure the people you are making the dvd for won’t even care if they get “nanee pari” or a concerto
