Manzoor Ansari, an Indian Muslim flute seller, plays one of his wares to attract buyers in Bombay on April 18. Ansar sells the wooden flutes for 5 rupees apiece - a little more than 10 cents. He earns about $1 a day. The World Bank estimates that about 312 million people in India fall below the poverty line, earning less then $1 a day.
