Well, unfortunately, this world is not a perfect place. If it were, everyone would be happy. To be honest, if you really want any answers, you should talk to him. Ask him to either tell his problem with your family or not to be disrespectful to them. Try not to discuss it with women because all they will say is the same thing your sister, phoopo, and girls in this thread said. No offence, but you will not get any advice from girls, or even guys, and all you would get is this -----> "he's a jerk", "all men are like that" etc.
So, my advice would be that you clearly talk to him and tell him to either state his problem he has with your family or stop being disrespectful to them :)
