i was just rubbing my neck that day n i felt something on the right side of my neck …it was some sought of GILTI (v say it in urdu) dont know what to say it in english …what this could be…should i go to doc or not

Eventually one must see doctor if it is there for several days and especially painless.
Many many different reasons based on:
Where it is in neck? Center, side or on back?
If central and front, does it move with tongue sticking out or swallowing?
How big? Just one or more?
Soft, hard, rubbery/slippery?
Is it fixed to skin or freely moves?
Teeth/gums, throat, ear or surrounding skin okay?
How much painful? .............Painless is usually bad!
Smoke, chew tobacco or beetle nut or drink alcohol?
Eventually one must see doctor if it is there for several days and especially painless.

well its on the right side of my neck ........its not that big ......its soft .......teeth n gums n throat r ok ........less painful ........n i dont smoke chew tobacco or bettle nut

Its most likely a harmless lymp node - there are many of these in your neck. Swollen lymph nodes or glands usually indicate some kind of infection or even an occasional "clog" but can also idicate more serious issues. Whenever you find odd bumps or lumps, its always best to go see your doc because most of the time everything is ok but if not, its better to get evaluation and treatment earlier rather than later. The peace of mind it will bring you is well worth the trouble of a visit!

I had one a month ago on the left side of my nech below the ear.. was scared to discover it, but i was told that it will go away in a few days and if it doesnt i shud see a doctor. But it went away after 4-5 days, alhamdullilah.
Only worry if it stays for more than a week or so. Hope its gone soon :)

I had a lipoma on my shoulder..about 3 years ago...it growed to quite a large size and I had it surgically removed...I have another one on my back now and found one under my knee the other day....theres no cure to these, but they are not dangerous..usually just fat cells all clumped together :(
I would def pay a visit 2 the doctor, the assurance u will get will put ur mind at peace...Inshallah its nothing to worry about..
Lipomas are slightly soft and dont really hurt much unless u squeeze them....and so if it looks like a 'dome' shape..its probs a lipoma...
P.s lipomas are known as giltis in our desi culture too, but there are other type of giltis...I know someone who has fibroid lumps..again similar to lipoma-its muscle all clumped together....neither are dangerous inshallah

well its soft type ......i founded 3 more on my body one on my back one on neck n one under my arms .....my mother said its fat added up u must pay visit to doc i will go to the doctor in few days i was busy thats why could not pay a visit

nd yes it sounds like problem with lymph node..i had a swollen lymph node on my neck couple of years ago..bcs my body had an infection ..that si what it indicates..
is ur body kamzor for some reason right now? underweight? stress?
