Something I was wondering about actors

Re: Something I was wondering about actors

Good observation TDW...but not sure if it really applies to the majority of actors/acrtresses. Ive known many and while they do actually have much drama in their lives, its the drama that they thrive on...and likely what drew them to the profession in the first place. Not that I'm saying they're bad people or anything...I've met many lovely people in that field.

Another thing to point out is that most families have much drama in them. They just dont live in the public eye as actors/actresses do. So every time they make a move, it makes headlines. Every time they go out, they're followed by photogs and gossip mongers. I imagine that could drive anyone kinda nuts.

A great actor or actress doesnt really need to have experienced the things that they portray....they can empathize and "get into character" without ever having gone thru something like their character has. I mean, think about all the different types of roles they could possibly play - everything from demons to angels to prehistoric cavemen to historical figures and I could go on....most of the great ones havent personally experienced anything remotely similar to the characters they portray.
