Something for nothing....

Have you ever done something, a favour or some work or some gallant or noble act?

Have you ever done something for nothing, no financial motive, no sexual/romantic motive, no percieved gain of a friend or company (you might never see the person again) , no spiritual or religous reason like giving to charity and hoping for a door to heaven.

You just helped out and did it just becuase it felt like it was the right thing to do. You know that moment you just take a step and do something and after you do it you get that really special feeling that words cant describe. You feel like something mopre than a hero something almost dare I say it divine in nature.

Can anyone explain what that is?

Why would a person suddenly feel happy about doing something good? Is that warm feeling in your heart a sign of faith or some ideal beyond the understanding of a mere mortal?

Or perhaps its the first step towards an ultimate decent into madness?

Now there is a common saying “Dunya Matlab de hain yarro”

Do you believe so or do you believe its possibel to do soemthing for nothing and yet still feel something afterwards?

Sorry for this really crazy post if it does not make any sense then I really do apologise its just something at the back of my mind and puzzling me somewhat…

Re: Something for nothing....

I think by telling you, we sort of defeat the purpose of not telling in the first place, since we run the risk of using this as an opportunity to "gloat" and give ourselves that "Shabash" that we shouldn't be seeking to begin with.

None the less, I think we have all done things to help others with no personal gain. Its human nature We are preprogrammed to want to help when we can.

Occasionally we choose to ignore someone in need. However I think when we do, its a clash between our more primitive minds and our rational minds. Oddly enough though, I think perhaps its our primitive mind that forces us to act and help, while our rational minds convince us otherwise due to possible repercussions. So for example, a person in Pak may not be willing to help a victim of crime because he reasons that he mitt implicate himself when the police arrive.

But generally I think we are al motivated to help others.
