Congratulations, you're a senior member, lets celebrate with a box of Cadbury's Milk Tray chocolates and my personal favorite a packet of sugar coated cola bottles.
An important point to note are the high divorce rates straight after Christmas due to disappointing presents, usually it's the final straw. If the item is on sale please remove the price tag.
Gifts. Book a romantic break in Paris. Fly first class, check into a 5 star hotel, hire a limo to see the sights and have an romantic evening meal at the prestigious L' Tellier Joel de Pierre where a glass of tap water costs a small fortune.

I don't agree with the concept and it's overly commercialised. Brain washing by the large multinational corporations. One special day to lavish your partner with praise and for the rest of the year they can be conveniently forgotten about.

Valentines might be a commercialized money getting Hallmark holiday.......but I admit I do like to go into Hallmark and look at all the sweet cards and stuffed animals and boxes of candy. Wishful thinking, but fun nonetheless, lol.

X-box 360. The Wii is over rated. Now on to presents for the hubby, I have no idea what your relationship with him is, but a material present is nice - but its mundane. Cook him his favorite dinner and then pamper him.
And I for one don't believe in Valentine's day.
Edit: Considering he is your fiance, pamper him does not mean jump into the sack with him.

Or you can donate some of this money to the people who are just worried cover them up in the cold, the people who are victim of natural and/or man-made disaster.
Then to waste money on buying cards/chocolates/gifts for the one who actually need your loyality, love and affection.
