Well when you link up a girl you tend to assume their faith by their name…so when you meet a Becky you know the girl isnt a Muslim…
Now the frustrating thing is when you meet a Farah from Pakistan…your assuming you have a Paki girl whos a Muslim but then you find out the girls an Ismaili or Ahmadi…that just kills everything right there and its not something you discover straight away…
Anyone found they had they met the ideal Muslim who wasnt actually Muslim?..

How silly is that....to assume a person's religion based on their name? Maybe its a normal kinda thing if you live in desi-land but really folks...
thats like assuming blue eyed kids are christian. 2 of mine look european, blue eyes, light hair and have somewhat european names but guess what, they're muslim.
Black people over here are fond of muslim names. But a good number of them are christian - baptist.

Hmm never had anything like that happen to me, but if he's perfect in every other way and I care about him, I'd probably encourage him to read up on Islam and study it to see where he's wrong... if he sees the light... well and good... I'd be doing him a favor and we could progress in our relationship, and if he doesn't well then thats too bad, but at least I'd be content knowing that I tried.

if you're just going to mess around with them (and sleep around), then it doesnt matter if they're Muslim or not.....both are the same in terms of their actions. fornicating with a Muslim is no better than with a non-muslim.

Iv noticed Shias take pride in being shia so you do get to know quite easily if they are shia are not...Ismailis arent so easily recognised...they tend to be quite secular so you would never know...it took ages for me to realise that one of my friends at uni was ismaili...

Actually alot of black ppl here do give "Islamic" names to their kids , like Fatima or Aisha or Jamal...but they're not Muslim
