Someone give me motivation to...

continue going to the gym.

I joined about a year now and at first I went HAM. I went there 5 days a week for a solid 3 months. Then uni started again and visits became less frequent, like 3 days a week. Mainly because studying took it’s toll on me and I would just rather use the time sleep in. I would also make excuses for myself such as, ‘oh I have a headache, going gym would only make it worse’ to rationalise it.

Then, I stopped going altogether for 4 months until last week, when I decided to go and went in 5 days (mon-fri).

I mean I love going to the gym, working out all that stress that’s inside you, it’s just the getting myself there in the mornings that I need to get good at.

yeah anyways, what can I do to continue going?

Re: Someone give me motivation to…

You are perhaps overdoing it. 3 days a week should do. Beside that same routine also make you fall short on motivation. Do something different on at least 1 day during gym days. Even if that means not going to gym and going for a fast paced walk

Re: Someone give me motivation to…

Mix it, some days go to Gym, other day go for running or brisk walk. Having a partner at the gym is another way.

Re: Someone give me motivation to…

u can join some fun classes at the gym

Re: Someone give me motivation to…

In my experience, if you can find somebody to go with, it will help you go more frequently.

.

Re: Someone give me motivation to…

Can’t do walks. My normal/brisk walking pace is your average jogging pace. As a result, I end up at places like 2 hours early.

Re: Someone give me motivation to…

I go with my sister. We just end up arguing though cos we have different ways of working out and always tell the other one that they’re doing it wrong lol.

Re: Someone give me motivation to…

draw photo of a pig and put your head on it. Label it:“1 year of not going to gym”
