Assalam alayikum everyone,
I have always felt guilty about accumulating more dresses and accessories than I need an/or can possibly use.
This has probably been discussed here in an old thread but I would like to ask again what everyone here does with their dresses that have been only worn once or twice or never…?
Re: Some Worn Once and Some Never Worn Dresses
I keep them for ages, and then hand them down to my sisters or have it cut up to fit my neice

Re: Some Worn Once and Some Never Worn Dresses
If I'm never gonna wear them myself?
I'd do one of the following:
-Sell the outfit
-Give it away to family or friends
-Ask someone to donate it to less well off girls in Pakistan
-Alter it so that I'll actually want to wear it
Re: Some Worn Once and Some Never Worn Dresses
So I will be moving in a couple of months and unfortunately had 3 suitcases full of clothing from before my wedding sitting in my collection. They are all outdated and short shirt styles which clearly are not in anymore and even though I've worn each piece just a couple of times, I wont be wearing them again and have been trying to find out where I can drop them off in my city so they can be sent to Pakistan. I also have many bags of clothing which belonged my late mother in law so her children have also decided it is now time to donate the clothing once and for all. I have contacted the local Pakistani embassy in my city, as well as PIA and Oxfam to see if there is anywhere I can drop my donations off to so they can be sent to Pakistan.
Dont know if you are in the same boat with outdated clothing but if your clothing is still in style, I'd suggest selling them online, here on GS, you might get a couple of leads.
Re: Some Worn Once and Some Never Worn Dresses
Yes I have been thinking of doing that... I just have to take the time out to take pictures. I don't think they're outdated so I will try to sell them before donating them and then donate the money instead of the clothes as it will be much easier to send the money to Pakistan than the clothes.
Thanks for your input ppl... I'll share post pictures of the clothes soon inshaAllah.
