rich, funky, energetic, cohesive :k: but why reflective technique is used every where?

even though good designs should be kept away from this technique, but i think its more a matter of mass production, where no chance should be given to the consumer to absorb all these colors and fall for it.

the clients want the web 2.0 look (shiney, round fonts, reflections, shadows),

one client always says "can u make it more shiney", makes me laugh but what the client want they get as the are paying :)
