I do not see a reason why members cannot be told about the infraction system and it works to the general public. I'm sure if any of the moderators or rather the ones immune to being infracted started to get points, you'd see a plethora of complaints coming in asking for how it actually works. Unless there's a technical glitch thats difficult to solve, but then again I doubt it has anything related to technicals thats involved in this particular case, why not just write it down and be done with it? If I were to be in your shoes, I'd want to avoid the trouble that most certainly is going to ensue/follow.

Jee. Apparently that is what the posters before me have been constantly asking for, isn't it? How the actual infraction system works?, i.e: An insult to a member earns you this many points and etc etc. I've never been infracted therefore I'm not quiet sure how it all works nor have ever had the reason to be curious. But seeing people constantly debating, questioning about it this whole day and with no concise or to the point answers, simply got the best of me too.

Now what I think is that you should write it all down so that everybody is accountable. I completely understand you guys don't want to write it down due to the history of favoritism on the forums. The lack of a formal code allows you to treat people differently which by its very nature discriminatory.
You write it all down for everybody to see because then you won't have anybody accusing you of PPP style of governance.

and another inherent flaw in this system is................ there is no way of ensuring that infractins and points are given equitably............ nobody can see who got infraction or not...so mods can do whatever they 'feel' like doing.......

Have you got proof of points being handed out to not so favourite people or just stoking fire as usual in feedback. if you do have proof either list it or send it to any admin and we will look at your complaint. Otherwise stop making such wild accusations.

As for the original message of the thread, we will try to incorporate your suggestions. The admin folks will review and come up with what to do. Like I said, the suggestions are great. But meanwhile, can we stop dhindora peeting? Just because a few of you come back after every few minutes and repeat the same thing in different verbeage doesn't make it is more appealing. But thanks.

If you cannot bring any proof and in your previous post you stated it as a fact, it means you are just making accusations, so yes there might be inherent flaws but in whose thinking?
