Some stories...

This is a story from a talk during ijtema.

There was a jamaat that was in Australia. They had to travel from the west to the most eastern part of Australia. Since Australia is mostly desert in the middle they had to cross it. They were in this old land rover, suddenly the car broke down. So the jamaat of 6 make mashura and say that they will walk the rest of the way because it is only 12km away and pray Fajr when it comes in. So they were walking and they saw a little house, so they make mashura again and say let’s go there and make a phone call so somebody can tow the jeep. They go there and knock 3 times, and an old lady around the age of 70 opens the door. She in her heavy Australian accent screams, “where were you, I was waiting for you, !?”, she invited them in, the jamaat got confused but the amir of the jamaat said let’s go in. They go inside the house and the lady explains to them by bring a picture of her father, her father with a beard, full sunnah and a pathani hat. She said her father went out in the path of Allah and said to her that someone will come back for you if I don’t come back. It was time for fajr and the lady made shahada right then and there, and the jamaat got up for fajr, and when they finished and turned back to talk to her, she was dead.
Allahuakbar!

MashAllah, the sheikh was saying that in the 1900s the Australians ‘imported’ the Afghanis because the Australians did not know how to live in the desert, so the Afghanis got mixed up in Australia.

Dawah and Tabligh can go a long way!

Thanks, keep more coming =)

Re: Some stories...

Sorry for the brothers and sisters who don't understand my writing, it sounded better from the sheikh and maybe I am missing a few words.

Two old worn-out bills arrived at a Federal Reserve Bank to be retired. One was a tattered $1 dollar bill and the other was a worn $20 bill. As they moved along the conveyor belt to be burned, they struck up a conversation. The twenty dollar bill reminisced about its travels all over the country. “I’ve had a pretty good life,” the twenty proclaimed. “Why I’ve been to Las Vegas and Atlantic City, the finest restaurants in New York, performances on Broadway, and even a cruise to the Caribbean.” “Wow!” said the one dollar bill. “You’ve really had an exciting life!” “So tell me,” says the twenty, “where have you been throughout your lifetime?” The one dollar bill replies, “Oh, I’ve been to the Masjid on Main Street, the Masjid on 4th street, the Masjid down town…” The twenty dollar bill interrupts, “What’s a Masjid?”

Re: Some stories...

Two fish swam together in the sea:a young fish and an older wiser fish.

They came upon a tempting meal on a hook. The younger fish rushed forward to get the meal.

“Stop!” said the older fish, “attached to that hook is a line, and attached to that line is the fishing pole of a fisherman. As tempting as it looks, it’s nothing but trouble.”

So the two swam peacefully on their way.

Later the young fish returned to the meal on the hook. He couldn’t see a line, and he couldn’t see a pole or a fisherman.

In fact all he could see was the sea and since he couldn’t see anything
else, he didn’t believe that anything existed outside the sea!

So he took a big bite. the hook caught in his mouth and a line suddenly yanked him up and out of the sea. The young foolish fish could now see the pole and the fisherman and the world above the sea……

If you have to see to believe, it may be too late!
