For three decades people had been voting for PPP and PMLN, the excuse used to be that there's no other option. In 2011 they started getting convinced that there is an option. My family has been staunchly pro PMLN till mid 2011. But now people across the divide (most of them) are Pti supporters.

Jinnahpur was tossed in 1992 and its was only 2 years ago that Brig who tossed it came out and took burden off MQM. For 20 years MQM had to live with Jinnahpur stigma. 4 years are nothing in life of nation

It's ridiculous really. Before the elections we heard conspiracy nutters telling us that 2013 would be cleaned sweep PTI because Pasha and the entire establishment is behind them. What happened? The mighty establishment could not help their darling party win in their own stronghold, i.e Punjab.
Looking at PTI's staggering 35 seat victory, Pasha must one hellova an incompetent and powerless spymaster.
That's the issue, Musharraf could give him one seat in 2002 and establishment could barely provide him with the third slot in 2013. So much for the darling and creation of the establishment. And like I mentioned above pasha was the ISI chief for 4-5 months after oct 2011.

If a jalsa pic is the only evidence of someone's clean past I can assure you PML(N), PPP and MQM can bring in same amount of people (or perhaps more) on a week's notice. Will that mean that their past (and present) is clean?
Pakistan has almost 200 million fools that can fill up jalsa of any party anytime.
Exactly! Just look at last 10 years and you'll see parties like ANP or JUI(F) doing huge jalsas in Karachi where they fail miserably to get any votes.

This is a problem with you PTI supporters. You just want to paint Imran as farishta dropped in the middle of mud to clean it up direct from sky. Just like everyone else, Imran has a past and when you will talk about other's past, Imran's past will be brought into discussion. If Imran can gather 300,000 people in Lahore that will not erase his past instead that only states the fact that he is a popular leader and there can me more than one popular leaders in the country, there is nothing wrong about it.
Is he better than others? Yes may be. Is he a farishta? Hell no.

And people believed in Jinnahpur conspiracy and demonised the entire Urdu speaking community without any credible fact checking. Were they right? You are doing exactly the same by believing in politically motivated conspiracy theories designed by opposition party. People just pick and choose whichever conspiracies they want to believe in and when they want to preach others for not believing in conspiracy theories.

There's no denying the fact of Pti popularity in urban centers, in free and fair elections they would have won many more seats as compared to the 35 handed them by Pti supporters 'establishment'.

True for JUI(F) , not for JI as they hv roots in public. Wut I want to say is that jalsas do give a highlight of someone’s popularity, but not a verdict of success.
