^I don't want to confuse you further but my understanding is very simple. This life is a test and I believe that God is the most Just and he can see what's in our hearts so if someone is not regular in prayer but does have a sincere and loving heart then God is aware of that and He will do justice. Also, there are sayings of the Prophet(SAW) that God's mercy exceeds His wrath/anger.
