Some questions that were on my mind....

**I couldn’t sleep last night, and when I try to go to sleep and i can’t, questions run through my mind.

So are Ahmedis limited only to Pakistan? Are there Arab/African/Albanian Ahmedis?

I went to high school with several Albanian Muslims, and htey always said that they were “different.” I always assumed that they just weren’t raised proper Muslims, u know to pray, to fast, to cover, dating is accepted in their families etc etc, and they were like desis in the sense that they’re more into thier culture than religion, except their culture happens to be European and not Asian. But are they a different sect or what?

Does someone who doesn’t follow their religion have the right to preach it to others? Not one person on my mind AT ALL or making any snide comments to someone but again was just wondering…

A while ago I read this fatwa that it’s not necessary for women to cover your hair when you read Quran, which kinda goes against everything i’ve been told since I was a kid. Now i realize i mite actually hav to do some research to find out it’s true, but I know if i don’t do this (coverign while reading), it’ll start arguments and tension btw me and my parents, which I’d rather not do. Common sense would tell me to just go ahead and do it, since it’s not like i’m committing any sin, but i’d just like some info…

I think too much when I can’t sleep :whistling:

Oh come on nobody knows anything :grumpy:

Re: Some questions that were on my mind....

I am not aware of any Mirzais outside India/Pak

Even if there are they can probably be counted on fingers

Re: Some questions that were on my mind…

Yes, with the grace of Allah there are countless African /Arab and other race Ahmadi muslims, infact in some parts of Africa Ahmadiyya movement in islam held a large conventions (jalsa salana). And every year there are many people who do ba’it, and the conditions of ba’it are not different then what a regular muslims should do.. here are the conditions of ba’it…

I ..That he/she shall abstain from Shirk (association of any partner with God) right up to the day of his/her death.

II …That he/she shall keep away from falsehood, fornication, adultery, trespasses of the eye, debauchery, dissipation, cruelty, dishonesty, mischief and rebellion; and will not permit himself/herself to be carried away by passions, however strong they might be.

III …That he/she shall regularly offer the five daily prayers in accordance with the commandments of God and the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him); and shall try his/her best to be regular in offering the Tahajud (pre-dawn supererogatory prayers) and invoking Darood (blessings) on the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him); that he/she shall make it his/her daily routine to ask forgiveness for his/her sins, to remember the bounties of God and to praise and glorify Him.

IV… That under the impulse of any passions, he/she shall cause no harm whatsoever to the creatures of Allah in general, and Muslims in particular, neither by his/her tongue nor by his/her hands nor by any other means.

V… That he/she shall remain faithful to God in all circumstances of life, in sorrow and happiness, adversity and prosperity, in felicity and trial; and shall in all conditions remain resigned to the decree of Allah and keep himself/herself ready to face all kinds of indignities and sufferings in His way and shall never turn away from it at the onslaught of any misfortune; on the contrary, he/she shall march forward.

VI… That he/she shall refrain from following un-islamic customs and lustful inclinations, and shall completely submit himself/herself to the authority of the Holy Quran; and shall make the Word of God and the Sayings of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) the guiding principle in every walk of his/her life.

VII… That he/she shall entirely give up pride and vanity and shall pass all his/her life in humbleness, cheerfulness, forbearance and meekness.

VIII… That he/she shall hold faith, the honor of faith, and the cause of Islam dearer to him/her than his/her life, wealth, honor, children and all other dear ones.

IX… That he/she shall keep himself/herself occupied in the service of God’s creatures for His sake only; and shall endeavor to benefit mankind to the best of his/her God-given abilities and powers.

X… That he/she shall enter into a bond of brotherhood with this humble servant of God, pledging obedience to me in everything good, for the sake of Allah, and remain faithful to it till the day of his/her death; that he/she shall exert such a high devotion in the observance of this bond as is not to be found in any other worldly relationship and connections demanding devoted dutifulness

Now call them kafirs, non- muslims or whatever you like..

Re: Some questions that were on my mind....

^ frozen- no mention of mirza jee in your baith ?

I am muslim then ....

Re: Some questions that were on my mind....

Covering of hair whilst reading/listening to the Quran/adhan etc. is a way of showing respect. Although, it's not wajib, it is highly reccomendable.

Re: Some questions that were on my mind…

nop, there is nothing mentioned of mirza jee..

so ok, you are muslim , how about them ?

Re: Some questions that were on my mind....

So if some one do not belive in the whatever of mirza Sahib he can still be a muslim- this is new info for me

Re: Some questions that were on my mind…

Albanians are different inasmuch as they went they went through decades of having Enver Hoxja’s communist government rewrite Islam to create a more Communist society, just as happened in the former Soviet Union.

Whilst I have heard of ahmadis in Albania, the majority are still nominally Sunni Muslims though decades of authoritarian governments actively discouraged people from praying, fasting etc (such as through arresting and torturing people who were viewed as being publically religious) and through encouraging emulating Europeans in every way.

Re: Some questions that were on my mind....

Well but then isn't that a contradiction? If covering of hair when reading the Quran is wajib for ladies, then why is it that wearing a hijaab is mandatory?

Re: Some questions that were on my mind....

Well hijab serves a social and somewhat political statement, whereas wearing a scarf while reading Quran is simply for that purpose.
