Some questions for shia friends..........

Salam,
Here are some things which I find questionable about Shias and their beliefs:

**
Do you think Hazrat Muhammad(PBUH) would leave us with a religion which would be incomplete..? Why would you need adding to it..?

Is Islam a religion of hate..? No, right..? so why the hate towards the sahabas(RA)..? Do you disagree that Hazrat Muhammad Said that if i could have two friends on this world they would be AbuBaker(RA) and Umar(RA)..? Why the hate…? I agree to the fact that Hazrat Ali(RA), Hazrat Imam Hussein(RA) and Hazrat Imam Hussan(RA) would recieve high darjas in janat.. they proved themselves to be of Hazrat Muhammad(PBUH)'s family..

Lets say that all that you say did happen back then.. ok.. how does it change our perception of islam…? Why would you mourn on 9th and 10th muharram..? Afterall Hazrat Imam Hussein(RA) did embrace shahadat… didn’t he..? And according to my knowledge, its considered wrong to ‘mourn’ a shaheeds death… for shaheeds are going to be forever alive.

Again getting back to the point.. Lets say all this did happen… why would you hate sahabas and spread the hate about them today… don’t you agree that our religion should be more about praying to Allah.. being Muhammad(PBUH)'s obedient followers…? or rather is our religion all about proving to others how bad the sahabas were(naozobillah)..?

Do you think islam is kingship.. i.e. why would islam go through only the ahl-e-bayt.. isn’t the most righteous person supposed to be the closest to Allah(SWT)..?

After you are done thinking about all the questions above… just think about this..
How are our fundamental beliefs different… let me state one thing to you.. how you percieve history or how you say your prayers or whether you break your fast 5 minutes after us… all of these things don’t matter.. the fundamental things are the beliefs… so my big question being that would you let something that happened after the Prophet’s death let influence your Islam… ?
**

Also, I am no alim, and I haven’t quoted from anywhere. These are the things which come to me as being ‘wrong’.

I don’t want to start a shia-sunni war here… ok.. so if you have answers to my questions, explain them in a nice manner.. If you dont have answers to my questions, then, don’t speak.

Please don’t quote from some un-heard-of sunni scholar..ok..?

I am not saying that as soon as i get the answers to these questions, i am going to convert to Shia, no, I am following my own path and I am satisfied with it. I also understand that since we are all brought up with specific beliefs, not many would accept themselves to be wrong. Thats ok. But as long as you debate, keep it logical and to the point.

Shukriya

Yeah, let them answer you than I will ask. I don’t wanna disarm their brains by 10 more questions. Weaker minds should be dealt with ease and that is what we will do with them.

No we dont believe that Hazoor (pbuh) left us with incomplete religion, but we believe that it was tempered with as soon as hazoor left this wicked world. Also we believe in Imamat to lead us after hazoor (pbuh). Shia/sunni majority books of hadtihs are full of traditions about Mahdi(as) the mutazir who is our 12th and last imam . Also many other books (INCLUDING SAHIHS) have riwayats about the 12 princes emerging. ( will post them if you wish )

Well brother unfrotunately there are lots of controversial hadiths and narrations amongst our muslim books. That is a result of people like Muawiya and Yazid and Murwan leading the khilafats of the muslims. You can not trust them all. BANI UMMAYAHS hated none worse then the ahl-e-bayt for apparent reasons. HAZRAT ALI (as) killed all their ancestors in Ohad and Badar, Khandak, etc…
As long as Hazrat Abu Bakr (ra) and Omar are concerned we have no problems with Abu bakar (ra), he made mistakes but again he was no super human and we all make mistakes and may allah forgive him but I admit we dislike Omar for APPARENT REASONS.

Lets say that all that you say did happen back then.. ok.. how does it change our perception of islam…? Why would you mourn on 9th and 10th muharram..? Okay…well you probably dont know this but we shias believe that we are born to mourn the death of Imam Hussein (as). Its a whole diffrent topic i dont want to get into rightnow. Leave that mouring to us since you have no idea what It means to us. Although i appose what some people do (blood sheding). Now the trend seems to be changing allhundollilah and most of shias just donate blood then zajeer matam etc.

well NOT ALL SAHABAS were right. Quran is full of ayats about it. We LOVE sahabas of RASOOL more then our parents, dust of their feet is more important to us then this whole wide world. Its hypocrates and munafiqeen who we hate. Its another thing someone else labell these hypocrates as SAHABAS.

**Do you think islam is kingship.. i.e. why would islam go through only the ahl-e-bayt.. isn’t the most righteous person supposed to be the closest to Allah(SWT)..? **

well bro you have got to read qruan and discuss it with aalims. Its always a good idea. There were lots of nabis who had their kins as their janasheen! You call it kingship???
Weren’t there any righteous person when Harat Haroon was made hazrat Musa’s khalifa?
would you want to challenge allah and quran there???
and One thing i want to make clear. Imamat is not KINGSHIP. If it was so then Imam Hasan (as) and Imam hussein (as) would never have been called the Imams. They were never the king or khalifa. They remained Mazlooms throughout their life and always prefered simplest of life style, so did rest of our Imams.

anyways, we believe in dua e ibrahim (as) and that he made a dua to allah to transfer Imamat to his kins and allah promised him to do that. Now dont challenge me or shias…ask quran and ask your aalims.

well as far as i know shia/sunnis are quite similar. We follow same Allah, Quran, Nabi, Ahl-e-Bayt, Sunnah.
Shias believe in sunni SAHIHS too. DIffrence is that we dont think they are faultless as sunnis do. Sunnis come to our shia majalises too and we go to sunni milads. Have you ever been to one of our majalises???
Anyways, there are some minor diffrences like roza aftar time u mentioned or the way we pray namaz, but again even 4 sunni school of taughts have little diffrences between them dont they!. Is liyeh aap shia na hoon magar atleast respect our beliefs as do to yours and stay UNITED insha allah

Also, I am no alim, and I haven’t quoted from anywhere. These are the things which come to me as being ‘wrong’.

I am not a aalim either bro ammar. so i guess Its all good .we both riding same boat

I don’t want to start a shia-sunni war here… ok.. so if you have answers to my questions, explain them in a nice manner.. If you dont have answers to my questions, then, don’t speak.

I agree with you there, 100%

nahee aisee baat nahee hay. I personally have no problems whatsoever with sunni beliefs. I understand what they follow and i respect it.

Shukriya
Koi masla nahee . ANYTIME
salam and i quite like you name

my little cousins name is ammar too

Amarr _ going to add to some of Ramesha's points. By the way, try not to become arrogant when some shia brothers don't reply immediately. There are hundreds of sunnis and wahabis posting topics after topics against shias and it can get tiring repeating the same answers.

Case in point - yr questions have been covered tens of times yet you ask them again. It may not have been u who asked but one of your other collegues. Either way, it is getting awfully boring.

Let's move on.

As stated many a times previously, the holy apostle (pbuh), under strict instructions from Almighty Allah (swt), announced the wilayat of Imam Ali (as) at Ghadir khum. No prophet (pbut) has previously met his creator without first having clearly designated his successor. One who would lead his followers along his teachings and in some of the prophets' cases - bring a new message. Hazrat Ibrahim, Ismael, Ishaq, Daud, Sulaiman (pbut) and so on.

Ofcourse, since our holy messenger was the last and master of all the prophets, Imam Ali (as) was designated by Allah (swt) and his beloved rasul (pbuh) to guide the ummah along the teachings of the Qur'an and the sunnat of the holy apostle (pbuh).

Yet, it is you sunnis that claim that the holy prophet (pbuh) did not leave behind a clear successor. Now you tell me, does that make sense to you. All previous prophets ensured that their followers would be guided by one chosen by Allah (swt) but sunnis say no - a sham election in Saqifah, held immediately after the holy apostle met his Lord, in the absence of the Hashims, is sufficient to designate the leader of the ummat. So an old man was chosen, who himself was not strong but was pushed around by Umar, became yr caliph. Was this man learned in the teachings of the Qur'an ? Was he one who saved Islam on every occassion from destruction ? NO. Yet the one whom the prophet (pbuh) said " Ali is the maula of whomever I am the maula" and " I am the city of knowledge and Ali is the gate. Whoever wants to enter the city must pass through the gate" and " Ali is to me what Harun was to Moses except that there will be no prophet after me".

Do you know what that means. Ali (as), besides not be a prophet, is everythingelse what Harun was to Moses. Successor, leader, and the one chosen by Allah (swt).

And remember, neither Ibrahim (as) nor Musa (as) had the freedom to choose their own successor without having to seek permission from Allah (swt). But apparently, yr Abu Baker did.

The holy messenger said " After me, my ummat will be governed by 12 caliphs. They will be from the Quraish. And Islam will be protected until the existence of these caliphs". This is in yr sunni hadiths - Bukhari if I am not mistaken. Try to learn and see who is erring. Shias or you sunnis who choose to follow sham characters like Abu Baker, Umar,Usman, and their likes.

Islam is not about hate. It is about peace. Is this what yr hell bound father figures like Muwayah and Yazid believed in. No, they butchered the holy apostle's (pbuh) entire family. May Allah's curse be upon them.

We are all here to follow the Qur'an and the sunnat of the holy messenger (pbuh). Now the choice is yrs. You can follow the sunnah as taught to you by the sham companions, and scholars who favoured Muwayah, Yazid, the Umayad, and Abbasid Kings, or you can attain salvation by understanding the true meanings of the holy Qur'an and the EXACT sunnah of the holy prophet (pbuh) from those who were chosen by Allah (swt) and his prophet (pbuh) to lead the ummat.

Its funny. Sunnis argue about why the imamat must go through the prophet's family. Is it because they were family ? - u ask.

But you will look the other way when Muwayah passes his kingship to Yazid the cursed one, and Marwan the kafir to his son, and each of the Umayad kings to his sons, and every despotic Abbasid king to his sons.

You sunnis have a history of passing corrupt power through family. But you will not mention this.

You are mis-guided. For the imamat was not given to the ahl-bait on anyones whim except by direct order of the Al-mighty. They were His sinless creation who were sent to guide the Ummat along the true teachings of the holy apostle (pbuh

sure.. that would be better… less ‘phadaaas’
