The entry test is not cumpolsary. I know someone who was selected without taking GMAT or entry test :p
If u wanna ask anything feel free to PM.

My cumulative GPA is 2.02 (just found out). What are my chances?

I dont know if your uni offers the option of 'academic bankruptcy" ..in this case the university deletes all your d and lower grades and they are wiped off your transcript, but u have to sit out for a term or a year.

Other option, if your bad grades are concentrated in one semester, u can include a letter with your application for admission and note any personal/family issues that were going on, and that you decided to stick with the classes inspite of all that. had u withdrawn u would have a better cumulative GPA. if the admission committee sees that you had good grades and a big dip in one particular semester they may overlook that.

I will have to warn you that LUMS admissions are very competitive. You may actually be better off applying as a freshman. not only do u improve your chances of admission assuming your highschool GPA was good, but when you are tjhere, u are in the same courses as the class entering this year.

Fraudia bhai is quite right, if one or two bad semester has affected all your academic record then you should mention alongwith some issue explanations, And also consider your 'academic bakruptcy' option if its available there..

Sarah some of the people over there are quite nice and understanding. Dr. Arif Zaman is the dean of the school of Arts and Sciences and is a very nice guy. You can email him directly and explain why you have to leave Canada and come over to Lahore and I am sure he will do all that he can. When I was there (1994) they had somewhat another transfer from the US and were quite nice to her (she told us that her GPA was pretty low when she came in). Of course the university is much bigger now, times have changed and all that. But they are expanding and they want new people with different perspectives and not strictly people with shiny impressive GPAs. If you can show them that you have many interests and wide horizons you are in. If I can be of help let me know.
