Dubai - Indian Police are investigating the connection between hawala racketeer Abed Hussain, who was deported from Dubai this week, and an Indian stud farm owner involved in a multi-million dollar money laundering racket.
Hussain, also known as Ali Bhai, was arrested at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, India.The 32-year-old Ali Bhai is known to have escaped from India to Dubai in 2001 after a failed kidnapping attempt in Hyderabad. Interpol issued an alert for him following a request from the Indian Police who had been working to extradite him. Ali Bhai was among the top ten most wanted people in Hyderabad.
Dubai - Biman Bangladesh Airlines denied claims that they were operating old, not airworthy aircrafts. The regional manager of Biman Air said that the Airbus](http://www.airbus.com/) A-310 that failed to take off on Monday was brand new and well maintained. “The aircraft was bought directly from Airbus and was definitely airworthy. No airport would let us operate if the airline was not airworthy,” said Mohammed Ali Ahsan, Regional Head of Biman Air. He added that the aircraft was recently checked and was in very good condition.
Dubai - The lawyer of a man accused of murdering a German expat, chopping up his body and dumping it in a suitcase in the desert insisted yesterday his client is mentally ill. Lawyer Bader Al-Guru, of Horizons Advocate and Legal Consultants, said the 35-year-old American needs hospital treatment.
Speaking to 7DAYS he said: “His actions are not normal, he is mentally ill and I asked for him to be referred to the hospital, but the court has refused and I will present my defence at the next hearing. “I will demand mercy, but he may face the death sentence if the court convicts him.” The American, who entered the UAE on a fake passport, is accused with an Ethiopian woman of luring their victim to a flat in Sharjah](Sharjah - Wikipedia) before killing him.
The trial has heard that the victim was knocked out with chloroform before being killed. He had seen a picture of the woman on the Internet](Internet - Wikipedia) and arranged to meet her after a series of emails between the pair. The woman is charged with also participating in the crime. The trial is due to resume next month.

Kevin car story
Kevin likes cars. He reads about cars in magazines and he watches shows about cars on TV. His head is full of cars!
He tells his parents, “Please, please, please, could you buy me a car?”
“No,” says Kevin’s mom, “You are too young to drive a car. This is dangerous.”
“No,” says Kevin’s dad, “A car is very expensive. We can’t buy you a car now.”
Kevin is very sad. He wants a car. He wants a fast red sports car!
He decides to build one! He buys books and reads about the subject. He hangs around at the garage and watches the mechanics fix the cars. It is very interesting for him and he has a lot of fun.
Finally, he starts building his own car! He tells his parents about it. His father doesn’t believe him. He says it’s too difficult. His mother says she is worried. She doesn’t want him to do anything dangerous.
After two months, Kevin invites his parents to see his creation. His parents are surprised! It is beautiful! It is red! It is shiny! It is a big toy sports car! Kevin can sit inside it and drive!
Kevin’s parents are very happy and proud. Kevin’s dad says: “I was sure you can do it!”
Kevin’s mom says: “I was sure it was not dangerous!”
Kevin smiles and drives away.
