Some honest thoughts...

Understandably, as soon as the Moratorium was lifted, we have seen a flurry of threads to ask “innocent” questions, highlight differences, and in some cases, to provoke and prolong fights amongst shias and sunnis. As long as the discussion is productive for the participants and the readers, I think these discussions have a value. Plus it helps some of these people to get stuff off their chests, as I am sure it is a huge load to carry.

However, I am curious, how many of you have gone through the whole circle and have finally found out that internet is a lousy place to forcefeed your views on another equally strong-minded person.

In my responsibility as Moderator of this very exciting forum, I have an opportunity to read pretty much everything that is posted here for the last few weeks. I see some familiar nicks posting some very familiar things again and again, and I salute their preserverance that they can post practically the same thing day in and day out to the same people and rehash the same arguments.

So, when exactly do you plan to get tired of this?

Re: Some honest thoughts…

If what they are posting is correct then they should not be tired of this any time soon :jazak:

everyone here (or i assume) is dedicating his/her time only for the purpose of dawah and what sort of muslims do u think we r that we'd get tired of this????

aap bhee na kabhi kabhi had kar detay ho....

Dawah is one thing. What I am referring to is actually known as "bickering" :)

And more importantly the repetitiveness of the arguments. If there is something new, it will still be interesting.

Faisal Bhai : How many times will you open a thread complaining about all this? First the Moratorium, then a thread right after getting the charge officially again and now this thread?

So, when exactly do you plan to get tired of this knowing that everyone already knows what you are saying? :)

to be honest, there are a few people who one can discuss things with and get clear answers. But the sectarian misgivings and tensions are too high overall. My view has always been that people get mired in minutia while theya re not even fully complying with the basics.

I feel that I learn from a few here of all sects, but majority of the discussions i have seen are circular and get nwhere really quick, the death by cut and paste is another issue.
