Yeah maybe on paper, Arabs are considered White, but realistally, how many people in America actually consider them white? They go to lengths trying to convince people how Arabs are actually white, and share European blood. Maybe they do, I am not saying they are wrong, but most people just don’t care. Same with desis who are light skinned. They will even try to convince other desis that they are white because their ancestory is either Persian or Arab.
Poor fellows, they never win.

The accent totally gives it away for the desis. They can try their best to cover it up, but it's a stain that'll just never go away.

Phatima, I am sorry that you consider it a stain.
I am proud that my ancestors were jewish/arab, I dont try to tell people that I am white. I put "other" in the ethinicity/race box.

I have used it, but then people would say you are not asian (read oriental) so I just switched to other. :)

hahah kaleem you give new meaning to the term self-loathing jew. And you are about as arab as I am swedish. I too am from kashmir chanda, and history for our people didn't start when arabs were airlifted from that sihthole in the sand in the middle east. It goes back 6000 yrs.

PD, I am well aware of the fact that my great great great grandfather was a Brahmin, I am not basing my ancestory on Arab inquisition to subcontinent...i agree it dates back even before the arabs, I am not sure about 6000 yrs. I am willing to entertain the idea of Greek ancestors in Kashmir...is that what you are refering to?

try entertaining cross flow of genetics across the gangetic, jhelum valley and indus plains for thousands of years. brahmins were something else before that. this grasping of roots to exbihit some proximity to the middle east among pakistanis is laughable. even over 1000 years, that is 50 generations. You have folks in PA talking about symmetry in types of noses to prove that they are arabs. 
did you know your ancestors had solved the quadraticc equation before pythagorous while the arabs were trying to walk upright for the first time? Yes, your ancestors in current day pakistan. But that is not Pakistani history, it starts when the airlift happened. Bunch of clowns
And you know what, that is my history too. No I don’t crave a merger of the two countries, but historically and culturally speaking it is the same. Bamiyan buddhas are more part of your history than baghdad.

Also, quadratci equations and pythagorous theorem aside, I said jewsih because on my last trip I was sitting with one of the eleders of our family and he had a journal from his great grandfather which mentioned about jewish religion and inter-cultural marriages....
I agree.... When did you hear me say that everything Arab and middle east is pakistan's history...I do draw a distinction from Islamic standpoint, keep in mind not culturally but only from religion stand point

Kaleem, I understand what you are saying, but what I am getting at is how some desis and Arabs are in an unwinnable war with goras, trying everyway to prove to them that they are actually white. Goras don’t care, and they listen from this ear and it’s out the other.

do you know whent he diasporic migrations of jews happened that ended in the subccontinent? Western pakistanis are not the only ones claiming jewish roots. There is an indigenous tribe (irony) in eastern India near the burma border that claims that they were the last of the original 12. have a torah to prove it.
I find it amusing that people try to claim a heritage when they have .0000000002% of genetic similarity to the peoples of Isaac. or claim to be from the family tree of Ishmael because some soldier 1000 years ago raped a woman in their family tree. It is ridiculous. Go ask a genetecist. 99% of Pakistanis are Indo-aryan, 67% of Indians are the same stock. You and me are the same genetic stock. The only difference is the adopted religion on our parts either through intercourse or rape or both.
