Re: Some CRICKETY facts by Raju
No offence taken Uncle. Your participation in this forum is valued. I just couldn't resist pulling your leg.
By the way, fun has no age limit, but if you want to restrict it to Showbiz then give us a scoop on 'Intizar farmaiay'. We never got to see any proper matches played in Australia and Windies back in your days. All we saw was flowers and Intizar farmaiay.
My legs like my body..are heavy friend :)
Nevertheless--pun the sun!
Hasan Jalil is a great friend of mine. Now lives abroad mostly but finds time and sponsors to be seen and heard during ODIs and TESTS in Pakistan.
uch to the disdain...there are no archives of the clips of the TEST matches of yesteryears...played in Pakistan. The only...and perhaps the unique clip available with my first cousin is of Pak v/s England (Clin Cowdery & Tom Graveny & Ken Barrington days) of Dhaka-1962...which was filmed on a movie camera handled by swinging a lever...done by my Mamoon (I.A.Khan) who rose to become the Chairman BCCP (PCB now) in 1964 and also managed the team on England Tour. BBC Archives has a great collection which I myself saw at their library in 2005 nwhen I was in London on way back from a TV serial shoot at Scotland. Thanks to Asif Iqbal..my distant relative--for helping me out there.
I also saw the stffed bird at Lord's which got killed by the ball played by Majid's dad Jehangir Khan...at a TEST match.
Khush Rahein.............CRICKET khelien...
