Open up your TV and watch comedy central if you are so depressed with all the topics here...Our brothers and sisters, some still alive and trapped under rubble may not be alive tomorrow...

If you have such a dire need for humor, I am sure there must be better sites out there than this one on which many are still in mourning and come here for consolatory words...Not comedy...

Many here will be more than happy to provide you with a few guffaws once people get over this tragedy...Now is not the time...

My brotherinlaw built a water tank on his house in the sape of a football. This the new craze in India people building water tanks on top their homes in various forms as Football, Suraahi, plane, maTka etc etc. As I found out things shook up quite a bit in Amritsar also...I asked them about the football tank....it held up pretty well. They said they all ran out in the yard when earth shook and were waiting for the football to fall any moment but it did not.

I think roman might have borrowed that bit from the Jews. Jews believe that "opression and misery make a race witty and humorous." Self-effacing humor is what got them through 5000 years of misery and zulum, first from the gentiles and now from the muslims.

I guess a little humor doesn't harm anybody.

I agree…have some respect…u can hunt for comedy later on…

But if all this is really getting to u (and it is a bit too much for some i understand), then i’m sure u can find plenty of TV channels with comedies playing all the time…even other websites esp. for jokes n stuff…

I know having a good laugh is a great healer, but perhaps u could wait a few more days yea? Cos it just seems a little insensitive at the moment :blush:

I think it’s time to slowly start taking our minds away every now and then from the quake. It is haunting in the back of our heads anyway, no matter what we do. It remains in the back of your head. You go crazy just watching the images and videos and reading about it all the time. Imagine what it must be like to be there.

Watching those and the news is very depressing. I think your mind explodes if you don’t let it have a little relieve every now and then. Especially for the people who are home all day.

I remember lots of houses in our mohalla started building these tanks on top of the roof. The kinda flamboyant colors they used were out of this world! It was as if you buy this really shinny lacey furniture and put in the drawing room. The kinda furniture that keeps your attention while in the conversation 'cause you just can't keep your eyes off it :D

I remember the guy who had a court case going in Isl a few houses down from my mamoo it was life and death for him to keep his PIA plane tanki on the roof, people in Isl have too much time on their hands and too many planes on their roofs.

UTD, it depends on who you're. If you're a fish, a bacteria, a penguin (the flappy, trigger-happy kind, not the sourpuss kind) then sure, it's a pool to you. Else it's just water storage.
