Some choice quotes from the Jewish Talmud

It’s little wonder that Middle East affairs are in such a turmoil since 1948.

Here are a few less extreme examples of outright racism and anti-non-Jewish bigotry abounding in the Talmud.

The Jewsish faith has a lot to answer for!

“A Jew should and must make a false oath when the Goyim asks if our books contain anything against them.”
–Szaaloth-Utszabot, The Book of Jore Dia 17
- Goy means the ‘unclean’ i.e. anyone not Jewish!

**“When the Messiah comes every Jew will have 2800 slaves.”
–Simeon Haddarsen, fol. 56-D **

**“If it can be proven that someone has given the money of Israelites to the Goyim, a way must be found after prudent consideration to wipe him off the face of the earth.”
–Choschen Hamm 388, 15 ** -money does make the Jews tick and here’s why, it’s in the Talmud!

**“Kill the Goyim by any means possible.”
–Choshen Ha’mishpat 425:50 **

**“Everyone who sheds the blood of the impious [non-Jews] is as acceptable to God as he who offers a sacrifice to God.”
–Yalkut 245c ** - a religion of hate!

**“Extermination of the Christians is a necessary sacrifice.”
–Zohar, Shemoth ** - oops now that deosn’t gel!!

**“The Jews are called human beings, but the non-Jews are not humans. They are beasts.”
–Talmud: Baba mezia, 114b **

**“Although the non-Jew has the same body structure as the Jew, they compare with the Jew like a monkey to a human.”
–Schene luchoth haberith, p. 250 b **-maybe hitler was a Jew?

And lastly as as been demostrated to great effect by targetted assinations over the almost 60 years history of the Jew State;

**“It is permitted to take the body and the life of a Gentile.”
–Sepher ikkarim III c 25 **

I think this is a more WA topic rather than religion as the teachings of Talmud have a direct bearing on what is happening in Iraq and Palestine today, with Yasser Arafat’s imminent death at the hands of the Jew and the country of Iraq in ruins it’s time to face up to the ugly truth of Zionism.

Yeah okay I suppose they are religious edicts afterall, good move.

Not all Jews believe in these teachings. Like we have many groups, Jews have different groups too. True Judaism isn't like this.
In fact, in reality Muslims have more in common with true Jews than any other religion, including Christianity.

Nonsense this is mainstream Judaism, not some extreme fringe who follow the teachings of the Talmud.

Maybe not every Jew wants to though, that is why I suggest a long hard look is taken at the Jewish faith with an eye to weed out some of the less palatable elements.

I mean some of the teachings are insane whilst others just inane.

Someone can easily pull some quotes out of the Quran, hadiths or fatwas issued in the name of Islam and come up equally insane, hateful or extremist quotes. Unless you want to be judged in like manner, it is not useful to push this point of view.

it is just good to know that every text has some statements which we may not agree with, understand or identify with.

aside from just knowing that, this does not accomplish much.

Zionism is a pretty strong movement holding dear to edicts like the ones quoted above, I left some of the more tasteless ones out.

A nation state being pumped full of billions is fulfilling the unimaginable; this is not some 7th day Adventist or extreme Islamic sect working with a handful of grenades and a pistol. This is government sanctioned.

This form of Judaism is the mainstream in the US political block and in governance in the state of Israel.

This terror must be stamped out.

How do you propose to do that?

Chota

there are some ppl who use some of those verses as a basis to consider themselves superior to others and what nots, but similarly there are some among us who take some verses of the quran to engage in some pretty idiotic stuff..

..as i said, just like i dont stand for people putting islam on trial, i will nto stand for people putting judaism on trial. Ultimately it is up to us to figure out what applies what does not and live our lives in a positive and productive manner.

What does this finger pointing at each other's faith and books get us?

Stop me if I’m not picking up the thread on this ‘war against terror’ movement, but religio-political doctrine such as the flavour pointed out above if carried by a nation state constitutes a great regional if not global danger.

Until this element of perceived self-deification and hatred towards outsiders is not eradicated the world at large with not be able to ‘live productively and positively’

The Talmud is a collection of interpretations of the oral portion of Jewish scripture and open to interpretation. The above is an example of the way it has been locked into the religion at present, in my opinion revising should be an option.

chota, but that exists everywhere does it not. taleban had a rather twisted interpretation of islam, same goes for saudis, and what about khomenei when he came in power. same goes for VHP/BJP politics in India.

Anyone can pick up something and twist it to their needs, we should be against anyone doign this..not just pick and choose.

Crazy or just hateful people can make the Happy Birthday song into a manifesto. Doesn't mean everyone that sings it has an evil agenda. Don't buy too much into such delusions.

Drawing international condemnation for such backward philosophy is one thing, but the world turning a blind eye is another altogether.

I admit there is parity between Afghanistan under Taliban rule and the current state of Israel. But the two have been handled very differently.

The word evil has been thrown about a lot in recent times, I have rarely read of a more evil inclination towards outsiders than in the quotes above. Again re-iterating this is not some 'fringe' cult-like entity being discussed here, this is Zionist movement as a whole which is pretty mainstream in Israeli politics.

One of the Quranic verses, actually mentions the jews and says
5:32

For that cause We decreed for the Children of Israel that whosoever killeth a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind, and whoso saveth the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind. Our messengers came unto them of old with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but afterwards lo! many of them became prodigals in the earth.

You cannot paint everyone with the same brush. However, the reality is that most Jews have to abide by their doctrine and are the greatest of enemies to Islam. The Qur'aan testifies to this. Or are we going to saying that the ayat mentioning this is no longer valid. I doubt it.

Chota is right. If Islam is going to be put under a microscope, then Judaism doctrine should also be put under the same strain.

The whole problem lies with the double standard approach. One rule for one and one rule for Islam.

But Jewish Talmud is a book of law?

Be fair.

Would be nice to hear the context of the controversy that lead to those inflamitory words.

I would bet my life that those words weren't written decrees coming out of a Rabbi just because.

IMHO..

The Jewish peoples should be the closest to Islam.

Abraham was the father of both Ishmael and Issac after all.

In other words, means you guys are related.

So If I could give you a blessing..

I would allow (boff of youse) to hollar at each other as much as you need to hollar.

But

If I could give you a blessing...

I would want you to kiss and make up after the yelling is over.

Blood relations even.

The reason I find Judaism closer to Islam is, that they don’t worship other Gods, but God. I don’t know about any sect that does, but ‘normal’ Judaism doesn’t. Their Kosher food, mostly we can eat too as far as I know. (?) And they have no Son of God, they don’t have any images to worship to. LIttle things like taht. Tehy were once the chosen people of God, but they disobeyed too many times, broke the Covenant with God numerous times and in the end became cursed people unfortuantely. But you still have many good people among Jews.

Not all Jews are bad, we had family friends, we lost touch now, but while growing up, we were quite close to them and tehy were nice people. Their father was once discussing the topic of Israel/Palestine and mentioned something that always stayed in my mind: “We often forget taht the war in the Middle East is not between Jews and Muslims, but originally it was between Israeli’s and Palestinians.”

That is so true, if it wasn’t for that fight, between Israel and Palestine, Muslims and Jews wouldn’t ahve hated each other that much. Adn in Israel, it’s mostly Zionists, and in fact Zionism doesn’t have that much to do with Judaism.
Not all Jews agree with Israeli policy, many Jewish rabbies have spoken up against taht violence there, many have spoken up against the racist religion that Zionism is in fact, it’s not even a real religion. It was ‘invented’ because Israel needed it, believe it or not.

This is a website, of Jews turning Muslim:

http://www.jews-for-allah.org/

“And there are, certainly, among the People of the Book (Jews and Christians), those who believe in Allah, and that which has been revealed to you and in that which has been revealed to them, humbling themselves before Allah: They will not sell the Revelations of Allah for a miserable gain! For them is a reward with their Lord, and Allah is swift in account.” {Holy Quran 3:199}

Where is Yahudi...I havent seen him in this post yet?...lolh

The guiding principle of turning the other cheek in Chritianity, Islam's tenent of respecting fellow human beings and there religios practices, Budhism's spiritual enlightenment and pacifism, what does Judaism have to offer apart from hate and comic talent?
