CHI
I have been thinking of getting a chi or sedu, but now your post has gotten me intrigued. I wouldnt think you could get a fantastic straigthener for that cheap???
same. i was totally about to drop the money on ghds when i tried these. it wasn't even a matter of 'oh it works well and it's cheap', it was more like 'hay, i prefer these to ghds'.
i think it's the teflon coating, the hair just glides through and stays soft.
also, you can still do the curls with them, they are slightly wider so the curls are looser but my cousin manages to do them just fine. me on the other hand - rubbish at it.
you might not like them but they are so cheap you can consider trying them out.
Those selling on ebay for less than the retail price are fakes, Made in China :(.
How to Spot Fake GHD Hair Straighteners
Re: Some advice on hair straighteners
I got my GHD from Sephora for $195 around 2 years ago. I don't think the price has gone up drastically. Worth EVERY penny! :D since I'm a sucker for dead straight hair, and heavy eye makeup look!
Re: Some advice on hair straighteners
GHD's.
I think it also depends of hair type though. My hair is very thick and naturally curly, so only GHD's do the trick.
However, for finer, none thick, none frizzy hair I think any brand will do.
Also depends how often she needs to use them. GHD's keep my hair straight for days without frizzing, I only straighten twice a week. I never redo my hair in the mornings. If she needs striaghteners for daily use and she has curly/wavy hair GHD's are the answer.
I had about 3 straighteners before I switched. Remingtons, worked for like a couple of hours, hair went frizzy again, cant remember one of them, and Chi i brought when I was in the states...died within a month.
Mine is real for sure. It came with a hologram tag, proper packaging, DVD etc… I bought it from Kijiji, this woman was closing her salon in Toronto and had like 10 unopened straighteners
