A country like Brunei which could not do anything for the refugees from Syria is trying to become a shining beacon for the Islamic world. What hypocrisy. I don’t even want to get started on Somalia.
That said I am surprised that people find their faith so weak that anybody else celebrating a festival would harm their belief.
Live and let others leave seem to be the philosophy I guess.
As far as Somalia is concerned, it makes sense due to al-Shabab militia. Tajikistan should have been the last country to enforce this ban considering how religion was suppressed there when they were part of USSR.
Nope.. me muslim and nothing to do with muftis, mullahs, fundos and faRtawas Always tell my friends & family that religion is personal.
PS: re: Quaids first speech after independence is what I am alluding to.
BTW I can also provide references from holly prophet but I don’t want to get into that.
I don’t think Mr. Asif means illiterates literally. For there plenty of well educated people who are bigots. And some “Professors” are very principled.
“Although Christians are free to celebrate, they have been told not to do so “excessively and openly”, in a directive that has had a chilling effect on the south-east Asian nation, which sits on a corner of Borneo island.”
I have hard time believing that, those countries could ban Christian from celebration their religious day.
