I’ve heard from lots of places-and I’m sure some of you have too- that at frontlines soldiers’ sexual needs are well taken care of by the army. Girls are provided on monthly basis or weekly. And what’s better is that those girls aren’t prefessional prostitutes. Some are volunteers from the army itself and the rest from outside are paid. I’ve heard this about lots of nations’ armies but again it might be a rumor but it could be true as well. After all it does make sense, i mean this guy is at war for a year now, cut him some slack.
Anyone of you here know anything about it? any soldier here?
Historically speaking, were not most of them compelled to do this - they had no choice whatsoever? Remember Oriental, including Korean, ‘military comfort-women’ (jugun ianfu) - i hardly recall that any of them were paid, let alone the fact that they were happy volunteers enthusiastic to do their ‘duty’ for the brave men serving in the military.
i am not certain of the contemporary situation; i can’t imagine any woman who would feel glad doing this. To me, this feels like good old exploitation and even rape, but glossed over by a more societally-acceptable name.
I don't know if they provide women to these soldiers but I read in an article that many women in the US army get raped by their fellow soldiers and most cases go unreported because no one encourages them to report these crimes and even if someone does report the crime her claims are ''ignored'' by the army!

When troops were sent back behind the lines for R&R, it was a different story. The Japanese army provided Chinese and Korean women to be raped by their troops throughout the 1930s up to 1945.
In Vietnam, US troops had easy access to Vietnamese prostitutes, though this was by no means encouraged by the Army due to sexually transmitted diseases.
Armies do not provide "comfort" to troops at the front-line, because it distracts them from the fighting. Front-line forces need to be perpetually prepared for action.
Indeed, one of the primary reasons why many armies, including the British Army, forbid female personnel from ever being engaged in combat is because the Army commanders want to avoid the risk of front-line troops having sex.
