Well, see I’ve read/heard this word like a billion times but no one was ever able to explain what it really is! I mean does anyone know what the Sola singhaars are??? Can anyone list all 16 of them???

but please note that "sola singhaar" is a very old indian hindi/urdu-e-mualla term,
and lipstick and nailpolish were introduced very late, possibly in the 1800s when the britishers came...
anyways.. your choice your belief
Or may be it means that larkian start their singhaar from sola baras and keep up at it till 60. Maybe this 6 thingy has somethin to do with this sola :P

It's true that the modern form of lipstick and nailpolish was introduced quite later. But the sub continent women had other susbstitutes. Nur Jahaan started this lipstick and nail polish thingy by making a kind of paste with a speical kind of stone.
So lipstick and nail polish have been eternal ;)
Oh there's on more singhaar left: jhoomar. And oh...gulu band as well :)

i guess nailpolsh should be subsituted for jhoomer and gulu band is the same thing as a necklace just closer to a neck (choker in other words)
