Re: Sohail Abbas's world record
Pakistan's expert drag-flicker Sohail Abbas became the first man in hockey history to reach the 300-goal mark. He surpassed Dutch legend Paul Litjens' 267-goal tally in 2004 and has now left other internationals with a lot of catching up to do. Abbas was also the top goal-scorer in the 2010 hockey World Cup qualifiers held in Lille, France which Pakistan won by beating Japan.
Re: Sohail Abbas's world record
No appreciation!!! He is among only few Pakistanies whose name appear in the Guniees Book of World Record!
Re: Sohail Abbas's world record
Truly a great player and came at a time when Pakistan was struggling to find a decent penality corner specialist. Had it not been for politics in PHF, he would have had a lot more goals under his belt.

Re: Sohail Abbas’s world record
One of the game’s best penalty corner specialists along with Paul Litjens (Dutch). Sohail is the highest goal scorer in the history of field hockey with his current goal tally at 347.
Sohail Abbas - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Unfortunately for Sohail, he never played in a Pakistan team boasting a world-class attack. Pakistan’s last great forward, Shahbaz Ahmed Shahbaz Ahmed - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia had retired (1996) by the time Sohail made his international debut in hockey (1998)
Like Hasan Sardar (also studied at Aitchison College, Lahore), Sohail studied at Karachi’s Habib Public School
