Position: Senior Software Developer - Java

Job Description:
As a Software Developer in the Security Management team, you will be
part of a dynamic, talented and highly motivated team that developed
the most powerful Network Defense System in the world. Our Intrusion
Prevention System (IPS) is based on high-speed ASIC/FPGA technology
and state-of-the-art network processors. The SMS management platform
is a large-scale, Java-based application. The Client and the SMS
received the first NSS Gold Award issued in the IPS category after
months of extensive testing. The Software Developer will report to
the Director of Management Solutions. As a key member of the SMS
group, you will be responsible for designing and implementing
management applications that directly control the IPS devices as
well as a rich set of network security monitoring and reporting
applications. You will work closely with other groups including the
hardware and quality assurance teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 4-5 years experience in Java software development: MySQL,
XML/SOAP, Unix/Linux
• Thorough technical knowledge in software development
methodologies, design and implementation
• Excellent analytical and design skills at multiple product
levels
• Excellent understanding of entire development process,
including specification, documentation and quality assurance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced Java application environment: J2EE, JSSE, JMS, App.
server environment; JChart (or other presentation environment)
• SNMP
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
