should you marinate beef if you want it to be tender like you do with chicken.

I want to make shredded beef with carrots but I want the beef to be soft and not tough or dry.

suggestions?

yeah, you can marinate but use meat tenderizer OR green papaya strips to soften the beef :)

Mix about a tablespoon of cornstarch and about a tablespoon or 2 of oil in with the beef. Let it sit for about an hour before you cook it.

Marinate with lime, vinegar and ground papaya peel.
